The Health Enhancement Center offers a supervised non-monitored exercise program. This is a more independent program focusing on aerobic exercise and resistance training, if appropriate for the participant.
Participants who may benefit from the Health Enhancement Program include patients who have:
- Completed cardiac rehabilitation
- Completed pulmonary rehabilitation
- Diabetes
- Peripheral vascular disease
- Circulation problems
- Stroke
- Other chronic disease entities
How Do I Get Started?
Health Enhancement requires a referral from a physician. Talk to your physician to determine if you can benefit from this type of supervised exercise. Graduates of the cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation programs should discuss it with their nurse or therapist.
The Health Enhancement Center is located on the first floor of the Healthplex® Sports Club within the cardiac rehabilitation area. For more information, call (610) 328-8764.
