Healthy Living with Diabetes Event, 11/14
The Crozer-Keystone Center for Diabetes will be hosting a free, comprehensive community education event in recognition of American Diabetes Month. The event, which will take place on November 14 at Springfield Hospital, will feature a health fair with free screenings and information about diabetes risk factors provided by Crozer-Keystone departments and national vendors. In addition, experts from the Center for Diabetes, as well as sanofi-aventis, will speak on topics chosen to help people with diabetes better understand their condition and live fuller lives.

The Challenge: According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 20.8 million people in the United States have diabetes, but approximately one-third don't know they have it because of minimal symptoms or none at all. Diabetes is not a disease to be taken lightly. It is a serious disease with its complications killing 224,000 people each year.
Our Goal: is to meet the needs of our patients by educating and providing a clear understanding of how to manage their chronic condition - every single day.
