Vestibular Rehabilitation
Individuals who experience problems of the vestibular, located in the inner ear, may experience symptoms such as vertigo, dizziness, spinning, wooziness, imbalance, nausea and motion sickness.
To treat this disorder, Springfield Hospital has compiled a comprehensive team of physicians and therapists led by otolaryngologist, Mahmoud Ghaderi, M.D.
Patients entering Crozer-Keystone's comprehensive Vestibular Rehabilitation program may be referred to Springfield's PM&R department for vestibular rehabilitation to gain relief from their symptoms. Here, patients are evaluated by physical therapists that are specially trained in treating vestibular disorders. An exercise program is designed to address balance, dizziness and weakness. Patient education is also stressed. Physical therapists regularly communicate with the physician team to optimize patient care.
