FAQs

Q: What is the length of Crozer's Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program?

A: The residency is a four-year program.

Q: How many residency positions are there per year?

A: Three residents are accepted each year.

Q: What is unique about Crozer's Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program?

A: Perhaps what differentiates our program from most other obstetrics and gynecology residency programs is our renowned, high-caliber faculty. Additionally, Crozer's tertiary-level capabilities and cutting-edge obstetrical and gynecological facilities offer sophisticated care to women and, by extension, the most advanced opportunities for residents to learn and hone their skills. The breadth of Crozer's obstetrics and gynecology patient base allows our residents to gain vast experience in all aspects of care, from general obstetrics and gynecology to highly specialized care in the areas of gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and maternal-fetal medicine. By the completion of the residency, our residents are ready to pursue obstetrics and gynecology in any setting - or to pursue subspecialty training.

Q: Can residents take electives?

A: Electives are not built into the schedule; however, residents may take them on an individual ("ad hoc") basis.

Q: Are research opportunities available?

A: Yes. In fact, all Crozer Obstetrics and Gynecology residents are required to complete one research project during their residency.

Q: If I would like more information about the Crozer-Keystone Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency, whom should I contact?

A: Dr. Guy Hewlett, Residency Program Director
