Dina F. Capalongo, D.O. Chief, Division of General Internal Medicine Program Director, Transitional First Year Residency
Jr. Student Clerkship Director
Dr. Dina Capalongo received her undergraduate degree from Duquesne University in 1987 and completed medical school in 1991 at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She finished her Internal Medicine residency at Hahnemann University Hospital, where she was then appointed Chief Medical Resident. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Capalongo is the Director for the Temple University Junior Student Clerkship at Crozer. She also serves as a clinician-educator for inpatient and ambulatory Internal Medicine and she has been the recipient of the Dean's Award of Excellence in Clinical Teaching from the medical students. Dr. Capalongo holds an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Temple University School of Medicine. Her interests include medical ethics and preventive medicine.
 Ashish Rana, M.D. Internal Medicine Residency Program Director Senior Student Clerkship Director
Dr. Ashish Rana received his medical degree from the State University of New York-Stony Brook School of Medicine in 1992. Thereafter he completed his residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 1995, after which he went on to practice medicine at the University of Pennsylvania-Presbyterian Medical Center campus for two years.
Dr. Rana joined the Crozer-Chester Medical Center in 1997 and began practice with Crozer Medical Associates. He is the Program Director and the course director of Evidenced-Based Medicine and actively participates in residency and student teaching. He also serves as the site director for the fourth year medical student subinternship rotation in Internal Medicine at Crozer. In April 2000 he was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He was nominated for the Golden Apple Teaching Award by the students of the graduating class of 2000 at Allegheny University Medical School (now Drexel University College of Medicine). In May 2005 he was appointed Associate Professor of Medicine at Temple University.
Dr. Rana's particular interest is evidence-based medicine, including incorporation of these principles into everyday practice.

Paul D. Woolf, M.D Chairman, Department of Medicine
Dr. Paul Woolf received his medical degree at NYU School of Medicine in 1968, followed by an internship and residency at Bellevue Hospital-New York University Medical Center. He completed an Endocrinology/Metabolism fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, after which he rose through the ranks to Professor of Medicine and Professor of Pathology and of Laboratory Medicine.
Dr. Woolf has published more than 85 manuscripts and chapters. His research emphasis has been on the regulation of pituitary function, thyroid pathology, and pathophysiology and hormone responses to acute stress and illness. In 1999, Dr. Woolf moved to the Philadelphia area and became Chairman of the Department of Medicine and Head of the Division of Clinical Research at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. He holds an appointment as Professor of Medicine at Temple University.
 Kelly Bradley-Dodds, M.D. Pediatric Residency Program Director
Dr. Bradley-Dodds received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA. She completed her Pediatric Residency at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Camden, NJ. Dr. Bradley-Dodds' areas of special interest include colic and infant sleep, breast feeding and infectious diseases. Her primary office is located at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, POB I, Suite 205.
 William J. Mannella, M.D. Chairman, Department of Surgery Medical Director, Center for Wound Healing at the Healthplex
Dr. William Mannella received his medical degree at Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his surgical residency at Hahnemann University Hospital and also completed a fellowship with the American Cancer Society. He is board-certified in general surgery and critical care. Dr. Mannella's specialties include vascular surgery and all areas of general surgery. His primary office is located at Surgical Care Associates at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Dr. Mannella also has privileges at Crozer-Keystone's Taylor and Springfield hospitals, where he provides critical care.
 Guy S. Hewlett, M.D. Residency Program Director, Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Guy Hewlett received his medical education and training at Albert Einstein Medical Center and Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, respectively. His areas of special interest include laparoscopic surgery, research, and medical education. Dr. Hewlett's current research focuses on pregnancy-induced hypertension. He is a member of the Obstetrical Society of Philadelphia, and has received numerous teaching awards.
David Lainoff, M.D.

Dr. David Lainoff received his undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University in 1987. He received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1991, where he also completed his residency training in the Primary Care Program in Internal Medicine in 1994. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Lainoff served as the medical director of the Outpatient Department and Medical Clinic at Rochester General Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Lainoff came to Crozer-Chester Medical Center in 2006. He is the Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. In September 2006, Dr. Lainoff became the Medical Director of Crozer Medical Associates. Dr. Lainoff holds a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine appointment at Temple University School of Medicine.
Dr. Lainoff’s interests include Medical Education, Quality Improvement, particularly in the Ambulatory setting, and utilizing the Chronic Care Model in health care delivery. Dr. Lainoff is also a peer reviewer for UpToDate, and The Journal of General Internal Medicine.
