Dietary Fiber Quiz
You hear a lot about fiber and why you need it. But what is it? Fiber is a term applied to carbohydrates that cannot be digested. It is found in all plants that are eaten for food. Learn more about this important part of your diet by taking this quiz, based on information from Harvard School of Public Health.

Director's Remarks
by Barbara Alexis Looby, MSWAC, Administrative Director of CKHS Senior Health Services

I read somewhere that, “Time is a dressmaker that specializes in alterations.”

This quote has always stayed with me. In part, because I believe. In change there is growth, and the result of that growth is purely dependent on how well the change is matched with the direction we are taking.  More>

Do you want to reawaken skills you’ve let go by the wayside or explore something new and exciting? Are you looking for an intense, extended learning opportunity or something that “just gets your feet wet”? Do you want to be with people like you—same age, same lifestyle; or interact with people of varying ages, cultures and races? If so, then you need to think about getting involved in lifelong learning. Many Baby Boomers are returning to the classroom at universities and colleges throughout the United States and finding that college can be different! More>

Advocate for Health Care: Send A Message to Oppose Cuts
Act now and influence the outcome of the budget discussion for Pennsylvania. Join Crozer-Keystone Health System in our efforts to alert your elected state officials that further cuts to our funding seriously and negatively impact the care our hospitals can provide. The proposed 2009-2010 Pennsylvania State budget contains significant cuts to hospitals’ Medicaid funding. It will also eliminate all supplemental funding for Burn, Trauma and Obstetrical services. These cuts affect health care services that people cannot go without. Make your voice heard; send an online letter to your elected officials by going to www.crozer.org and clicking on the box in the center of the page that says, “Tell Your Lawmakers…” You will be prompted for further instructions to send your letter.

Calendar of Events
Crozer-Keystone Health System is proud to offer a range of outreach programs and events to the people in the Delaware County communities we serve. This comprehensive guide lists upcoming activities taking place at Crozer-Keystone’s five hospitals and other area locations.  Access calendar>
