Home Helpers
Home Helpers provides a full range of non-medical, in-home care services tailored to meet the specific needs of seniors, new moms/working parents, those recuperating from recent illness or injury, as well as those with ongoing daily living challenges and disabilities. Adam Brown, president of the Eastern Delaware County practice, and John Squires, president of the Western Delaware and Eastern Chester counties agency, have been serving Delaware County for the past 6 years.
Mr. Brown, a former Brookhaven police officer, established his Home Helpers agency in 2002 after personal experiences with senior care: one grandmother was a nursing home resident and the other was cared for at home by his father. He was awarded the 2005 and 2006 Home Helpers Presidential Award for outstanding business performance, and the 2008 Pioneer of the Year award for success in providing consumer education and excellent client service.
With over 30 years of business management experience with companies including R.J. Reynolds, Frito-Lay and Prodigy Services, Mr. Squires and his wife, Janet, established their agency in 2003 as they witnessed family and friends struggle to find qualified care and support for ageing parents and relatives.
Their agency was awarded the 2007 Home Helpers Presidential Award for outstanding business performance, the 2008 Pioneer of the Year award for success in providing consumer education and excellent client service, and the 2008 Franchise of the Year award from the International Franchise Association.
