Shannon Alsop, D.O.

During her undergraduate work, Shannon majored in Visual Art and Women’s Studies. She decided to go into Family Medicine because she enjoyed the continuity of care. Outside of residency, she enjoys playing softball, drawing, reading and collecting records.

Ted comes to Crozer with prior experience in Anesthesia. He decided to enter Family Medicine because he enjoys the personal interaction and satisfaction he gains from following patients on a long-term basis. Some of Ted’s hobbies include coin collecting, playing piano and guitar, collecting music and sports memorabilia and pyrotechnics!

 

Jason DelCollo, D.O.

Jason describes himself as a “local guy.” He has lived in the same 20 mile radius his entire life. In fact Crozer is his home town hospital. Jason’s number one reason for coming to Crozer is the people – attendings, staff, and most importantly, the residents. Away from work, Jason enjoys spending time with his family and participating in sports.  He is also a huge Philadelphia Sports Fan!

Christina decided to come to Crozer because of the comfortable atmosphere that fosters education and growth. Her medical interests include sports medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine. Away from work, Christina enjoys physical fitness, movies and spending time with her family and friends.

Stephanie was born and raised in Delaware County. Her undergraduate degree is in Psychology. Stephanie knew after she left her interview day that she wanted to complete her residency program at Crozer due to the knowledgeable and approachable residents and attendings. Home decorating/remodeling and traveling to new places are some of Stephanie’s hobbies.

 

Jeffrey Rakickas, M.D.

Some of Jeff’s medical interests include natural/holistic medicine and geriatrics. One of the reasons Jeff decided to enter into Family Medicine was that the specialty gives him the opportunity to prevent a disease from occurring through preventative medicine. For fun, Jeff likes to go to Phillies games, drink a good cup of coffee and play the guitar and ukulele.

Steve comes to Crozer from a small town in Pennsylvania. He would like to return home after residency to practice in the underserved community where he grew up. The quality faculty and staff who care about teaching and a good learning and working environment are some of the characteristics that drew him to the program. Outside of work, Steve enjoys playing basketball at the Healthplex and mountain biking.

Nate’s medical interests include sports medicine and adolescent medicine. As a 3rd year medical student, Nate enjoyed all aspects of medicine through his clerkships which let him to the realization that Family Medicine was the specialty for him. As a physician, Nate likes the ability to discuss all aspects of a patient’s health and not being limited to a certain specialty. 

 

David Konigsberg, D.O.

Sports medicine and pediatrics/adolescent medicine are some of David’s medical interests.  He chose to go into Family Medicine because of the specialty’s dynamic ability to see patients through an entire lifespan, and to care for multiple generations of the same family. David decided to come to Crozer because he felt like part of the residency program and not just a resident. For fun, David enjoys playing basketball, cooking, and traveling.

Growing up, Ralee went only to her family physician. That physician in turn inspired her to attend medical school. She decided to complete her residency at Crozer because of the great academic experience. Away from residency life, Ralee likes to read, go running with her dog and watch movies.

Shannon’s medical interests are women’s health and adolescent medicine. She decided to go into Family Medicine because of her passion for preventative care. Crozer was her residency of choice because of the residents and attendings and the “Best of Both Worlds” model. Away from work, she enjoys going to the beach, playing the viola, and participating in fitness activities.

Cara decided to come to Crozer because of the extra OB opportunities, the comprehensive geriatric experience through the home visit program and the opportunity to work at the nursing homes. Her medical interests include rural medicine, OB and geriatrics. Gardening and cooking are some of Cara’s hobbies.

Kate is originally from Bethlehem, PA. She decided to come to Crozer because of the exceptional faculty and residents, the great opportunities to train in different clinical settings, the organized education lecture services and the flexibility to tailor her education to her specific clinical interests. Kate’s medical interests include preventative medicine, dermatology and cosmetic medicine and sports medicine. For fun, Kate enjoys leisurely reading, going out for long runs and experiencing different restaurants.

Theresa is originally from New York. She was an OB resident is a former residency life. Her medical interests include outpatient women’s health, urban medicine, and preventative medicine.  She decided to come to Crozer because of the energetic and supportive attendings. Away from work, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and traveling.

 

Sunny Gupta, D.O.

Sunny’s undergrad work is in Physical Therapy.  His medical interests are Sports Medicine and Cosmetic Medicine. For Sunny, one of the big draws for coming to Crozer was the highly-regarded Sports Medicine Fellowship Program.  When he’s not practicing medicine, Sunny likes to watch movies, make homemade pizza, and go to the gym.  He is also an avid baseball and college basketball fan.

She decided on Family Medicine because it is a specialty that allows for professional flexibility and growth throughout one’s career.  Khayriyyah came to Crozer because of the program’s balance in the specific areas of call, OB, research and curriculum.  Away from residency, Khayriyyah enjoys dancing and spending time with her family.

Mary Ann grew up in Western Central Pennsylvania. Her medical interests include women’s health, pediatrics, sleep medicine, inpatient medicine, medical writing and teaching.  She chose Family Medicine because it is the “MacGyver” of all specialties. Mary Ann loves to cook, especially for a crowd.

Leon’s medical interests include Academic Medicine and Women’s Health/Obstetrics. He decided on the specialty of Family Medicine because of the great breadth of medical experiences, the opportunity to work on the front lines of medicine and the ability to establish a longitudinal relationship with patients and their families. Away from work, Leon enjoys spending time with his family and partaking in games of chance!

Colleen decided to come to Crozer Family Medicine because of the variety of settings in which she would get to practice medicine: a community hospital, suburban and urban office, a federally qualified healthcare center, nursing home and home visits. Some of her medical interests include diabetes, obesity, Marfan’s Syndrome, international health, underserved medicine and palliative care. Colleen’s hobbies include traveling, photography, and gardening.
